Our Team Comedy: Humor Workshop is a truly unique program.

Throughout the course of the day participants will not only learn the principles of comedy and humor, but also the importance and applications of humor in the workplace, home and daily life. We will talk about Humor as a way to reduce stress, diffuse potentially hostile situations, improve relationships with coworkers, clients and friends.
Our Program is divided into 4 Parts:

PART 1: Lecture/Performance
After Lunch Participants will assemble for a talk and demonstration on the many forms of comedy and humor including style, structure, and theory. Interspersed with the lecture portion are hilarious live examples of each. We guarantee this will be the most fun you will ever have sitting through a lecture!

PART 2: Writing Teams
Participants will be divided into “Writing Teams”. With the help and guidance of our facilitators they will create design and write their own short Sketch Comedy Scenes. Think Saturday Night Live or MAD TV. (Not to worry, our ground rules will insure that there is nothing offensive in the material) A head writer will be assigned as Team leader who will initiate creative talk at the table

PART 3: Performance (Practical Application)
This is where it all comes together. Teams have learned the basic principles of comedy and have transferred that to pen and paper. Now the Teams will perform their Sketch Comedy Pieces. (Facilitators will be available for coaching and helpful suggestions prior to this) Teams will be judged on different criteria and ballots will be placed in sealed envelopes.

PART 4: The Awards
Our light hearted and fun “Comedy Awards” will take place over Dinner. Providing a great way to cap the day. This Program is guaranteed to make a lasting impression and provide lots of laughs and great memories long after it is over!

Our Team Comedy: Humor Workshops are facilitated by a variety of talented Performers, Writers, Producers and Directors. Credits range from Off-Broadway, Regional Theater, TV, FILM, Cabaret, Stand Up, Comedy Improv to Ringling Brothers Circus.
